The Society for Head and Neck Anesthesia (SHANA, www.shanahq.com ) is excited to announce the launch of our peer reviewed publication, the Journal of Head and Neck Anesthesia (JOHNA) managed by the world-renowned publisher, Wolters Kluwer.

This relationship brings some exciting opportunities. Manuscripts will be handled by a centralized editorial management system, peer review will continue to be coordinated by JOHNA’s editorial board of Head and Neck Anesthesia experts, and publications will receive optimal visibility through the publisher’s broad network in an open access format based on OVID platform.

This framework will serve to get JOHNA indexed on commonly resourced publication sites, PubMed included, on an accelerated schedule, and with retrospective indexing of JOHNA back issues. SHANA members will receive a discounted article processing charge, and some high impact publications will be sponsored by SHANA.

We recognize and very grateful to our editor in chief and associate editor; Drs.
